The rigours of modern life
For many, the intensive use of computer screens and mobile devices are a part of everyday life, whether that be for work or pleasure. Increasingly this pattern leads to Computer Vision Syndrome or digital eye strain. The symptoms of digital eye strain include eye discomfort and fatigue, dry eye, blurry vision, and headaches.
The Compact Eye Massager brings together three distinct relaxation techniques to soothe weary eyes and help relieve tension headaches.
How it works
Massage Therapy
Massage therapy is the practice of kneading or manipulating a person's muscles and other soft-tissue in order to improve their wellbeing or health. It is, perhaps, one of the oldest practices in treating ailments and was practiced by the Ancient Greeks, Egyptians, Chinese and Indians.
To take account of their delicate nature, our design uses air-pressure technology to gently manipulate and massage the eyes.
Far Infrared Therapy
Our massager uses the heat generated by waves of energy from the far end of the infrared spectrum to penetrate through the eyelids to relax and expand blood vessels. This expansion improves circulation, delivering more oxygen, white blood cells and nutrients, helping to repair damaged tissue.
'Palm Healing', practiced for over 3,000 years by the Chinese, takes advantage of far infrared energy emitted from the palms of our hands. It is practiced by Yogis in India where it is well practiced for relieving eye strain.
Nature Sounds Therapy
In 2017, a study at the University of Sussex showed that playing natural sounds can affect the bodily system that controls the flight-or-fright response, encouraging relaxation and reducing the physiological reaction to stress.
Tranquil nature sounds played as part of the massage program help to promote a calm mood and deepen relaxation.
